President and Chief Executive Officer |
Bruce McWilliams is President and Chief Executive Officer of SuVolta. Bruce brings more than 25 years of executive leadership and technology development experience to the company.
Prior to joining SuVolta, Bruce was President and CEO of Tessera Technologies, which he took public through a highly successful initial public offering. Bruce led Tessera's turnaround and established its growth strategy. During his tenure, Tessera experienced compounded revenue and operating profit growth exceeding 50% annually which led to Tessera being cited by Business Week as the Second Hottest Growing Company in America in 2006.
Bruce also served as president and CEO of S-Vision, a liquid crystal-on-silicon based display technology company, senior vice president of Flextronics International, and president and CEO of nCHIP, a multichip module packaging company that was acquired by Flextronics.
In addition to serving on SuVolta's board of directors, Bruce is a director of several private technology companies and a member of the board of trustees of Carnegie Mellon University. In 2005, he received Ernst & Young’s Northern California Entrepreneur of the Year award. Bruce holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Carnegie Mellon University.

Chief Technology Officer and Sr. Vice President, Technology |
Dr. Scott Thompson is responsible for leading the development of SuVolta’s advanced technology platforms. Scott is an internationally-recognized expert on advanced MOSFET technologies. Prior to joining SuVolta, Scott was professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Florida focusing on advanced transistor technologies. Scott was also an Intel Fellow, Director of Logic Technology and responsible for next generation process integration, technology yield and transistor design at Intel. Scott has worked on Intel's 0.35, 0.25, 0.18, 0.13 and 0.09 - micron advanced CMOS logic technologies. Scott and his co-workers were the first to publish at the International Electron Device Meeting (IEDM) in 2002 on a 90nm logic technology which introduced high levels strain for significant mobility enhancement using SiGe. This 90nm strained Si logic technology is currently in production on 300mm wafers to fabricate all of Intel's advanced microprocessors.
Scott has published 80 papers and holds 15 patents all relating to transistor design. He was elected IEEE Fellow for his contributions on submicron and nanoscale MOSFETs. Scott holds BSEE, M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Florida.

Sr. Vice President, Marketing and Business Development |
Jeff Lewis is responsible for SuVolta’s customer licensing activities, development of the Company’s partnership programs, and worldwide marketing activities. Jeff brings over 20 years of experience in the IP and EDA industries. Prior to SuVolta, Jeff was Sr. Vice President of Innovative Silicon, a memory licensing company, and President and CEO of CiraNova, Inc., an analog EDA company. Jeff held executive-level positions at FormFactor, Artisan Components (acquired by ARM), and Compass Design / VLSI Technology.
Jeff holds BSEE, BA-Economics, and MBA degrees – all with Honors – from the University of California at Berkeley.

Sr. Vice President, Product Development and Engineering |
Dr. Robert Rogenmoser is SuVolta’s Senior Vice President, Product Development and Engineering, responsible for developing the company’s design and circuit IP as well as customer enablement. Robert has over 20 years of experience developing complex semiconductor products and technologies including high-performance CPUs and SOCs, as well as design services and Intellectual Property. Robert has a proven track record of leading engineering projects from design and silicon test to tape out and product commercialization. Most recently Robert served as Senior Director at IDT Corporation. Prior to IDT, he held senior-level engineering and management positions at Transmeta, Broadcom and Intel.
Robert holds 10 patents and has published numerous technical papers. He is the author of a book entitled “The Design of High-Speed Dynamic CMOS Circuits for VLSI”. Robert holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from ETH Zurich and an M.B.A. degree from Santa Clara University.

Chief Architect |
Dr. Lawrence Clark (Larry) is Chief Architect at SuVolta where he is responsible for circuit device interaction. Larry brings to the company over 15 years of industry experience in various aspects of chipset, CMOS imager, microprocessor design, test engineering and TCAD. Larry’s experience includes engineering and management positions at VLSI Technology, Inc. and Intel Corporation, where he contributed to the Pentium, Itanium and the XScale microprocessor designs, most recently as Principal Engineer and Circuit Design Manager.
In 2004, Larry joined Arizona State University as a professor in the department of Electrical Engineering.
Larry holds a B.S. Computer Science degree from Northern Arizona University and MSEE and Ph.D. EE degrees from Arizona State University. Larry has been awarded more than 70 patents, has approximately 15 pending, and has published over 100 peer reviewed technical papers.

Corporate Vice President, Legal and Intellectual Property |
As SuVolta’s Corporate Vice President of Legal and IP, Naomi Obinata oversees and manages all legal matters for the company including intellectual property, contracts, litigation and other legal areas. Naomi brings more than 20 years of industry experience, having worked for Applied Materials, Intel, SAP and TSMC. Prior to attending law school, Naomi worked as a process engineer at Applied Materials where she specialized in plasma etching.
Naomi holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from Santa Clara University.

Corporate Vice President, Operations |
Catherine de Villeneuve is SuVolta’s Corporate Vice President of Operations. She brings more than 20 years of international semiconductor experience in management, marketing and intellectual property. Prior to joining SuVolta, she worked at Philips Semiconductors and Tessera where she demonstrated her leadership and entrepreneurial qualities.
Catherine received graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering, Business Management and Psychology in France and United States.
